Scholarships

The First Tee of Greater Charleston has many scholarship opportunities for participants in The First Tee Life Skills Experience™. As participants reach levels of certification, they are eligible to apply for scholarship opportunities. We hope that many participants from The First Tee of Greater Charleston will benefit from these programs. Additional Scholarship & Recognition Opportunities are:

Chapter Programming Scholarship:  provided to participants who are on the South Carolina school lunch program and meet the necessary financial requirements.  Only applicable towards programming.  Contact derek@charlestonfirsttee.com for an application.

Coca-Cola America's Futurededicated to impacting communities, The Coca-Cola Company supports The First Tee by offering five participants annually the chance to experience working at one of the largest corporations in the world. Click here for more information.

PGA TOUR Diversity Internship ProgramAs part of the PGA TOUR’s ongoing commitment to The First Tee, one internship spot with the PGA TOUR’s Diversity Internship program will be allocated to either a current or former participant of The First TeeClick here for more information.  Must be attending college.

RBS Acheivers of the YearThe program rewards deserving students for accomplishments in their daily lives while overcoming difficult circumstances. This scholarship is not based on academic achievements or exceptional golf skills. The goal of the award program is to positively impact youth by rewarding participants for exemplifying one or more of The First Tee Nine Core Values™.  Click here for more information.

The First Tee Training Program at IJGAEach year, participants from The First Tee have an opportunity to attend the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head Island, SC to receive instruction on all aspects of the golf game from Hank Haney and IJGA instructors. Mental training, fitness training and college placement sessions are also included along with The First Tee Life Skills curriculum.  Click here for more information.

Future Leaders ForumThe Toro Company and Walt Disney World Resort have partnered with The First Tee to create an exciting program for The First Tee participants to explore a variety of career opportunities within and outside the golf industry.  Click here for more information.

Nature Valley First Tee OpenEntering its eighth year, this unique event features The First Tee participants and amateurs competing side-by-side with Champions Tour players at the renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links and Del Monte Golf Course. The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach serves as a showcase for The First Tee.  Click here for more information.
